The Sakrebyle Elephant Camp is a forest camp located in the state of Karnataka, designed to train captive elephants. Situated just 14 km away from Shimoga on the Shimoga-Thirthahalli Road, it is regarded as the best elephant training camp in the state and is maintained by the Karnataka Forest Department. The camp is a popular destination for wildlife enthusiasts and tourists, providing a unique opportunity to observe these majestic animals up close.

Excellent place for Bird watching

Lovely place with very helpful caretakers and Manager. Excellent place for Bird watching and photography. Comfortable stay with Good food. Peaceful and serene... very hospitable. Have to visit again during the River tern nesting season. Will share the photographs as soon as I can process them. Thank you.
