The Serai, Kabini,is a stunning property, just on the banks of Kabini river .
Well appointed rooms, view all around is so beautiful that words cannot do justice.
lush green well maintained gardens, hammock & sit out area outside all the rooms . Pool, indoor & outdoor games, a projector room for documentaries, library ,spa - all well managed.
Food was very good- breakfast needs special mention.
The safari to Nagarhole is 10 min drive from the places. We didn''t go for the water Safari, but even it is a must do thing here. The resort also offers Kayak, speed boat rides too.
The resort has very well experienced natarulaists too, who accompany the guests for the jungle safari

This property is located near a national Tiger preserve and offers a free 3-hour safari to guests. Excellent staff, cool location and a fun place to "turn off your jets" and disconnect from the world. I spent 3 days/nights here and enjoyed every aspect of this resort. If you are looking for a clean, authentic, India stay...take the drive from Bangalore and enjoy peace and serenity.
We stayed at The Serai Kabini in September with our 3 year old toddler, and had an amazing 3 days. The staff was very courteous and efficient, and did everything to make our stay comfortable.
We enjoyed the jungle safari rides, and even managed to see some game. The Serai doesn''t have it''s own safari set-up , and coordinates with The Jungle Lodge, who seem to be the only operators for the safari. Regardless, our safari rides were well coordinated.
The hotel has a decently sized swimming pool, however due to the presence of flora, does tend to accumulate some debris, and needs to be cleaned very frequently.
The food at the hotel tasted authentic, and definitely exceeded our moderate expectations for a place so isolated from the city.
Since we had a very early check-out , the staff even arranged to pack us some breakfast for our travel back to the airport. All in all, this was a great stay, and I would definitely recommend the place to friends and family.

So peaceful - and we saw tigers and elepants
The grounds are lovely with well build lodges. We wanted a twin room but they don''t have many so we had an extra bed put in our room. That was not ideal but for 2 nights it was fine. Bathroom and shower area was very large and we had a nice lake view from our patio. Staff very friendly around the grounds, (always saying hello and making sure we could find the way in the dark) . Food was a buffet with plenty of choice and good quality. Resturant staff friendly and efficient . The Bar man was excellent, he remembered not only our drink but how we liked it ( ie GnT in a long glass with ice and lime) . We also sat outside by the bonfire at night which was nice. Pool area did not look that appealing at 1st glance but pleasant place to sunbath. Overall a restful place with attentive staff. The safari from the hotel was also excellent
