JLR - Sharavathi welcoming guests since Jan, 2015
I am from bangalore and visited this place along with my friends and had stay for one day.
I liked the scenic location of this place and its serene surroundings.
Its a place to relax, enjoy the view of water plain n mountains.
Boat ride is good.
Main thing is you can be free from distractions as there is no mobile network available in the vicinity and no TV also.
Visit to Jog falls was nice.
Guidance by staff is good.
Food was very good.
Staff provided us with flexible check in n check out facility since we reached th property late.
Cant think of any Cons of this property.
Thoroughly relaxed and enjoyed the stay.
Thank you for Sharavathi JLR for pleasant stay.
It is one of the JLR''s new property. Finding the place coming in Sagara might get a tad difficult, could do better with proper sign boards especially when at some places there are no people to ask around. Once there we had an unusually long wait to get our rooms as the service boys could not be found. But after around 30 minutes everything fell into place. The cottages are well laid and it is as an exercise itself to get to them. Once inside everything is so well maintained and they have used all best available products. Especially since this is a new property everything is so neat. As through all JLR''s the activities included boat ride, jungle trek, water scooter, bon fire etc. The best part was the trampoline in the middle of the reservoir. The children had so much fun. All meals were very good and is their hospitality. The views from the cottages are also breath taking.
Very beautiful setting!! Am a big fan of jungle lodges and love all their properties. Beautiful cottage with an amazing view! There is no safari offered here but the nature walk and boat ride are awesome!!we went on a weekday so we had all the property to our self. There was just one more couple who went to Mangalore for a sightseeing. Limited options in breakfast lunch and dinner as compared to other jungle lodges. But anyways, you didnot go to a jungle lodge to just eat!! Its just to watch the nature at its best!!
I visited this place along with family around last year-end. The place was a bit hard to find but the search was totally worth it. The resort property is very well built, planned by the Sharavati river side and maintained by a group of a dedicated team that is very hospitable.

It was a good experience ??
We chose this JLR for the long weekend in February. It took us a little over 7 hours to reach the place from Bangalore. We took the special aka VIP cottage, it costed us hardly around Rs 500 more per night but it was totally worth it. The cottage has AC, TV and very comfortable bed. But the best thing about it is the view from the cottage. It has a clear view of the reservoir waters from its balcony. The other facilities at the resort include water sports (such as fun boat rides, kayaking, water trampoline, jet skiing, etc...) Kayaking on the calm waters either in the morning or in the late hours of the evening is beautiful and serene. We spotted a few birds including a grey horn bill and brahminy kite while we were kayaking along the shore.
One important thing to note is that there is absolutely no mobile network at this place. So you are disconnected from the world in its true sense!
