- 190 Kms. from Bengaluru - Bengaluru - Kanakpura - Malvalli - Kollegal - Chamarajnagar - K Gudi Wilderness Camp
B.R. Hills is the place for those with a deep love for the wild. Surrender your jarred nerves and car-horn accustomed ears for bird song and the whispering of the trees. It happens at the K Gudi Wilderness Camp. Situated at an altitude of 1800 ft. to 6000 ft., the sanctuary benefits from a pleasant climate across the year. Wildlife sightings are excellent, regardless of the season and therefore the Camp is open through the year.
Buffet Lunch, Dinner and Breakfast will be served in the Golghar.
Check-in : 12noon Check-out : 11am

the place is excellent surrounded by a forest. The staff were friendly , food was great and the morning walk around the jungle and the evening safari was great. Overall, a great stay that I recommend highly.

The 18 km drive from BR Hills to this resort is amazing. Good road thought. This resort is right in the middle of the forest. Loghuts are farthest away from Golghar restaurant. The day at JLR is planned extremely well, with lunch from 1:30-2:30pm..followed by a good 2 hours of rest time, followed by open jeep safari from 4:30-6:30pm-return to the camp-evening tea and snacks along with a wildlife movie 6:45-7:30pm---time for relaxation again for those willing to spend some time admiring the nature by their tents/loghuts---and dinner along with camp fire from 8:30-9:30pm.

We stayed here for 3 nights. Firstly, the location, service and hospitality is just outstanding and so is the food served. Each safari takes you around 15 kms into the restricted jungle. The place is abundant with birds and is a heaven for all birders. Mornings are the best time to spot the Ariel species and one can just sit at the balcony of their respective loghuts and start snapping the birds around.

K Gudi is less commercial and unsophisticated. The tents and log-huts overlook the valley, and you can spot several birds by sitting just outside your tent with a pair of binoculars. It''s the most satisfying part of a leisurely vacation. Needless to say, the regular safaris, that are part of any JLR camp, are superb. Their naturalists are very experienced and friendly.

This is the place for people who are interested in birding. Sitting outside the tents listening to all the bird call is such a refreshing experience. The location is just brilliant. The food served is among the best of all the Jungle Lodges. And the naturalists are very experienced and experts at spotting birds, animals. I think they are among the best guides Jungle Lodges have. An extremely relaxing place and would definitely recommend it to people who love and admire nature and wildlife. Would definitely go back again

K Guddi is very nice place to visit with Family and Friends, Hospitality of stuff is too good and they took care of us and very kind, soft spoken persons. Food was very tasty and it was just like home made food. Cottages and areas around the cottages are very neatly maintained and very beautiful nature adds more comfortable stay.

We been to stay at this place for weekend it’s perfect place for wild experience and stay closely to the nature !! The place is quite good and really worth the stay at this place we really had great time and awesome stay The room are pretty good with really close to nature the staff are really helpful and we had 2 safari rides one at evening and one in the morning as no luck for big cats but amazing experience of safari.

Within core area of the forest, situated the campus with loghuts, tents and rooms. Deers and wild boars roam around freely at day time. When darkness settles down , forest unveils its beauty in sound, scent and mystery. On a moonlit night its a chequerd spread with light and shadow. After all these, if the cuisines are of best quality, then what''s wrong ro come down again. Keep your finger crossed to see animals during safari in the morning and evening.

JLR lived up to my expectations. In the middle of forest, a nice not so luxurious yet as private as it could be set up. Stayed in K-Gudi tented accommodation for 2 nights, when most people would do just 1 night. Well maintained place, very polite and smiling team serving the guests. Nothing much to complain at all. Loved the safari rides though it was disappointing to not have got an opportunity to spot a leopard or bear in the 4 safaris we did in 2 days. We spotted wild elephants, gaur, wild dogs, a few owl and eagle species. The roads are very good all the way to the camp. BR Hills temple is just a couple of hours easy drive (round trip) from the K-Gudi camp. If you have more than one night to spend in the area, I probably would suggest doing one night here and other in Gubbare or Bhimeswari, so that you can cover 2 places (based on your preference)...Lastly, food. We are vegetarians and don''t eat spicy food either. The food served here was good for our preference...This is a place I definitely will recommend for anyone who wants to get away from the madness of cities for a couple of days

We were in this forest last night. Just 3 and half hours drive from Bengaluru. Less traffic and beautiful landscape. Lot of opportunity to click pictures. Pack food as there isn''t any good restaurants on the way. Excellent Service by the Staff. Food is always hot and delicious. Both Log Cabins and Tent houses are good, clean and neat. The attraction of the stay - Jungle safari. Staff take us twice for the safari. We were lucky to spot Wild Dog hunt, Elephants, Indian Gaur, Langur, Spotted deer, Sambar deer, barking deer, Rocket tailed drongo, Black Drongo, Golden Oriole, woodpecker, Paradise flycatcher. Feel the Forest. :)

This lodge from JLR is less celebrated beauty (compared to Kabini or Bandipur lodges). Trees everywhere, with excellent weather makes it ideal for a visit any time of the year. They have excellent manager and we found naturalist Narayana to be very knowledgeable. Months of Feb and March are very good months to spot birds. We could see lots of birds. The list is endless but some of the exotic ones being, Rufous treepie, Asian Fairy Bluebird, Blue capped rock thrush, Indian black bird, Orange headed Thrush, blue bearded bee eater, etc. We also got great sighting of a pack of 19 wild dogs, a bear, many spotted deers, turtles, barking deers etc. Service is excellent and staff while not well groomed, work from the bottom of their heart to keep the guests happy. Of late this lodge has added solar power which gives 24 hour power supply. Strongly suggest a drive from K Gudi to BRHills as the drive is breath taking. Special thanks to naturalist Narayana who made our trip memorable.

Tented cottages were comfortable and clean. Very well managed and organised place! It is a great place for a jungle experience, away from the city life. The weekend was well-spent at the Jungle Lodges.
