- 520 Kms. from Bengaluru - Bengaluru - Tumkur - Chitradurga - Davangere - Haveri - Karwar - Devbagh Beach Resort
A young Rabindranath Tagore once made a moonlit tryst with destiny on the magical Karwar shoreline. A midnight boat ride with his friends on a river that had transformed into a silver moon glade and a trek across the bathed-in-white sands of the Karwar Beach, was the young Rabindranath’s epiphany. The place where he found his calling. That night he penned “Prakritir Pratishoota” or ‘Nature’s Revenge’, his very first play – the piece that Tagore prized as the genesis of his literary career. Karwar is a destination. Sometimes it’s the closest you reach within yourself. Devbagh is at its beautiful best from October to May. The summer is the best time for water sports, which is one of the star attractions of this resort. Dolphins are often spotted off the coast and the fish and corals are more vibrant than ever.
Buffet Lunch, Dinner and Breakfast will be served in the Golghar.

This was on the list for good 6 years and glad we could finally make it. Reception was very warm and ferry to the resort was enjoyable. Walk from the ferry jetty to the resort welcomes you with lush green blankets all around (we went in Monsoon). We got a log hut at the far end which had awesome view of the greenery as well as the sea beyond. The beach is good, but the far reaching areas of shallow waters is the mega steal deal.It appears only during low tide and then you can walk all the way towards distant villages. Overall very tranquil and peaceful. Unfortunately we Indian tourists do not have a habit of keeping our beaches clean! Can''t really blame anyone for the occasional beer bottles and plastic wraps. Food was awesome and staff was super friendly. Highly recommended!!

A short boat ride away from the Kodibag post office, is the beautiful island resort of Devbaugh. Unspoilt and pristine - getting off the boat refreshes and prepares you for what lies ahead- solitude. As one walks towards the cottages, the pines help you disconnect from the crowds, the noise and daily humdrum of the city. Just as the walk starts getting to you, you arrive at your cottage- these are rustic, with basic amenities and just enough to make you comfortable. Heading to the beach forms a major part of ones routine while at the resort - the beach is a stone''s throw away- you wind your way through the pines to come upon an isolated, pristine and super clean beach- with little to no inhabitation. The staff at the resort serves you an evening snack, soups and dinner at the beach. a lovely bonfire completes the perfect evening. Long walks, beautiful sunsets and loads of fun in this place just don''t do justice to what the place has to offer. Barring the distance one has to cover to get here, this place is definitely an 11/10.

Our trip was good and did not have any problems during our stay at both JLR Kali and Dev Bagh resorts. Our experience with Trailroot has been good.
